Patent family 6 – “Method and device for increased exhaust temperature in a diesel engine” (WO 2020/122807)

The invention concerns a method for providing an increased exhaust temperature and/or lowered emissions during engine part load in a diesel engine and a device for carrying out the method. Just like in patent family 5, variable compression ratio and freely controllable valves are used together. Patent family 6 thus complements family 5.

The patent family includes granted patents in China, EPO, India, Sweden and in the USA. Pending patent application in South Korea which is soon granted, and pending patent applications in Brazil, Japan and Mexico. A positive ”International Search Report” has been issued, i.e. the invention is considered patentable. The EP patent has been validated in Great Britain and Spain and has been registered as a Unitary Patent. (Updated 17 oct, 2024)
