Freely controllable valve duration

Patent family 2 – “Method and device for electrically controlling a valve actuator in an internal combustion engine” (Publication: WO 2020/022949)

Just like patent family 1, the invention concerns developments in freely controllable valves. Advantages includes that is capable of quickly opening and closing an engine valve, and further that a longer duration (opening time of the valve) is possible than with the device in patent family 1.

The patent family includes granted patents in China, Sweden and the USA. Pending patent applications at the EPO and in India and Japan which are soon granted and pending patent applications in Brazil, South Korea and Mexico. A positive “International Search Report” has been issued, i.e. the invention is considered patentable. (updated 17 oct, 2024)
