Patent family 4 – “Method for providing variable compression ratio in a combustion engine and device for the method” (WO 2020/159425)

The invention concerns a method and device for variable compression ratio where the combustion chamber of variable size is arranged in the piston of the combustion engine. This invention is an alternative solution to the variable compression method/device used in patent family 3.

The patent family includes a granted patent in China, India, Japan, Sweden and the USA, a pending patent application in South Korea which is soon grated and pending patent applications in Brazil, EPO and Mexico. A positive ”International Search Report” has been issued, i.e. the invention is considered patentable. (updated 17 oct, 2024)
